No fear about asking…

April 2, 2007

28 weeks  Now it’s really obvious that I’m pregnant.  Even people at work aren’t shy about asking and typically most of them don’t (you never know who’s just bloated or has gained some weight from working and eating hospital food).  It’s getting hard to close my white coat over my belly.  I can still button it, but it starts to ride up when I walk, which is kinda funny looking.

I think you can click on the link ‘28 weeks’ above and see a picture of me and the belly.  I tried to upload it before, but either ended up with a ginormous image or one that’s smushed. I’ll let you decide whether I’ve learned how to levitate, or haven’t learned how to rotate a picture in Wordpress.  Hmmmm… Wordress changed their picture uploading method, which I haven’t quite figured out.

Palm Sunday

Filed under: Baby Dunbar, Blog — Kerry @ 8:52 pm

So I had my 2nd to last weekend call for the academic year last weekend. This involves seeing lots of patients with GI problems like liver failure, doing endoscopic procedures on people with bleeding ulcers, and fielding phone calls from patients about their bowel prep for colonoscopy (do I have to drink the whole gallon? Yes)

I didn’t get to church for Palm Sunday because I was working, but I did get a collection of palm fronds from a nurse and a few visitors.  One was niftily shaped into a cross and the others were just long.  Not the easiest things to carry around, but they look pretty nice on my desk.

N.B. The academic year for medicine runs from July 1-June 30.  Try to avoid the hospital on July 1.  Trust me, you don’t want to be there unless absolutely necessary.
