Multilevel modeling and generalized estimating equations

Genghis Geronimo (new, expanded name!) is not a fan of multilevel modeling and GEE.  While very useful in the world of statistics, 3 hours of class in the evening focusing on them is tough.  He started off trying to kick a hole in my liver, but now seems to be sleeping.  He’s a smart one, that G2.  Even at 28 weeks.  At least there was free food.

Boy people like pregnant ladies!  It seems like every physician, nurse, unit clerk, transport person, etc I’ve ever met at the hospital now notices that I’m pregnant. Last weekend on call, I had my own brief version of ’15 minutes of fame’.  Every time I went onto a different hospital unit, the unit clerk or nurses would comment on me being pregnant.  I’m not usually the center of attention, but people tend to get really excited about babies and future babies, so I’ve gotten to chat with a lot of nice people at the hospital.
