Progress continues.

Today they installed the new countertops. They're very nice. Soon we'll be back in business.

I had my additional ultrasound today since they couldn’t see Baboo’s nose and lips during the 20-week one.  When the door of the office opened and the tech called my name, I was a bit dismayed to see it was the same play-by-the-rules, no-emotion woman from before.  As we were walking down the hall, however, she told me that someone else was going to be doing mine.  HOORAY!   So I ended up having the most delightful ultrasound experience.  The technician was warm, open about everything looking good, and just generally a happy person.  She was able to get some great shots of the face right from the start so we know that Baboo has the appropriate facial features.  She also was able to identify that, without a doubt, Baboo is a boyboo!

I concentrated really hard when she was taking measurements of the head, belly, and thigh bone so I could see what each of those measurements correlated to in terms of weeks/days in a little box that appeared in one corner of the screen.  Each of them spat out a number that was something over 27 weeks (like based on the bone length, the “age” would be 27 weeks and 4 days).  I’m technically only 26 weeks and 5 days so I knew Seth would be happy to hear that perhaps Baboo is tracking a bit ahead of schedule since he REALLY wants this kid to be born over his Christmas break from school.

 Unlike our last experience with Ms. Stingy, this woman hooked me up with many printed pictures of all the different views.  I returned home to spend the day training some colleagues and upon inspection of the pictures, one of them is convinced that Baboo has Seth’s forehead and eye shape.  All I see are blobs but I figure Baboo will be a pretty lucky guy if he comes out looking like his father
