I had my second doctor’s appointment this morning.  Strangely enough, I’d lost a pound!!  I really think this “eating all the time but not very much at a time” thing is totally working as a weight management plan!  :-)  Not that I expect this will ever happen again as Baboo starts getting bigger than the little lime he/she is, but it was a nice surprise nonetheless.  Especially since I ate a burger, fries, and cookie last night for dinner!  (Fuddruckers Kids Meal is still the best deal out there– $3.65 and they have DP on tap!)

In the comedy department, apparently someone dropped the Doppler machine recently so the attempts to find the heartbeat were not looking (er, sounding) very good.  Thankfully, though, the doctor was eventually able to locate the “galloping horse” heartbeat through all the static and all sounds right.

I made the appointment for a sonogram on August 17th.  While I’m bummed that I won’t know Baboo’s sex while in Dallas Aug 11-15, I can appreciate that extra gestational time can only be a good thing for my paranoid planning sense.  Can you imagine being told you’re having a girl and then giving birth to a boy (or vice versa)?  I would totally rather make the choice not to know than to plan for the “wrong” one!
