There’s really no ‘morning’ about it. More like ‘random time of day when you least expect it and it’s very inconvenient’ sickness. Fortunately, I was pretty lucky (and now seem to be free of symptoms). I had mainly evening symptoms that I could avoid as long as I ate frequently and early enough at night.
Very helpful things for preventing/treating morning sickness:
1. Saltines – they really are helpful. They worked when you were a kid with the stomach flu and now they work now that I’m 30+ and pregnant.
2. Altoids Tangerine Sours - Very tasty, sweet but tangy and sour. Good for decreasing the extra saliva pregnant women seem to make (no one told me that would happen!) and quelling the unsettled feeling.
3. Sprite - see explanation for #1.
4. Avoiding bad smells - The perfect opportunity to ban farting in the house by husband, guests, etc. And a perfect reason to get someone else (hubby) to take out the trash and clean the cat litter. Daily.
