I realize as a read other baby sites and a blog by one of my med school friends (she’s pregnant too) - http://bisousmd.tripod.com/blog/ - that most people expecting a baby buy things. Like baby clothes, a stroller, a crib. Travis and I have purchased exactly 1 item, a cute tshirt from old Navy that says ‘I drool’ and has a cartoon picture of a dog with it’s tongue out. So we’ll be the people with the baby wearing the tshirt and a toga made of kitchen towels and sleeping in a laundry basket. Clearly we need to start paying more attention to these things.
What’s wrong with kitchen towel togas?? You should bring those back anyway. I think I’ve decided our house is too small and the thought of buying baby specific stuff and trying to cram it somewhere makes me vomit a little in the back of my throat. Ok, not really. But, I’m thinking when we have kids, they will have to use all the adult sized stuff we have. My shirts should work fine the first few years:) And maybe that kitchen towel idea will work for clothing, bathing, security blanket, and so much more!

Yep, kitchen towels are all-purpose. Clothing, cleaning, bedding…. Isn’t that why the ‘baby T’ was invented for grown women? So that their babies could also wear it? Or maybe the ‘baby T’ for women was actually invented by teenage boys. Who’s to say?
